Thomas Howard Brown
Thomas Howard Brown has been practicing real estate
law for more than 25 years. He has practiced with major law
firms, most recently Nixon Peabody LLP, and he was formerly
New England States Counsel for a national title insurance company.
He has represented buyers, sellers, lessors, lessees and lenders
of real estate. He has worked on real estate projects such as
industrial and office parks, hotels, shopping centers, mixed use
projects, residential subdivisions, apartment projects and
residential and office condominiums. He has represented lenders
in connection with acquisition and construction loans, with conduit
loans and with financing of existing properties. Mr. Brown has
extensive experience in title and conveyancing matters, including
curing of title defects, negotiation and preparation of title
insurance policies. Mr. Brown is a member of the American Bar
Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar
Association, the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts
(formerly Massachusetts Conveyance Association) and the Abstract
Club. Mr. Brown has written articles for such publications as
The National Law Journal and has spoken at continuing legal
education seminars.
